We were lucky enough to visit the fantastic Duck Inn recently as part of the Menu Innovation Network tour to the NRA in Chicago.

This Retro-inspired place, owned by celebrity chef Kevin Hickey, focuses on creative duck dishes & other American eats plus cocktails & local beers. 

The Bridgeport restaurant, which opened in Dec 2015, occupies a corner tavern that predates Prohibition. It takes its name from a Depression-era lunch counter that was run by Hickey's great-grandmother. 

Be sure to try the duck wings with Japanese BBQ sauce for a big smack of umami.
